Dr. Celile E. Ökten

Dr. Celile E. Ökten is an assistant professor at Yildiz Technical University (YTU) in Istanbul, Turkey. She has spent the 2007-2008 academic year at UW-Madison as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction. She was a C&I honorary fellow at the time, with Prof. Popkewitz and Tochon. She was a Co-Principal Investigator in a 3-year research project funded by a Title VI Grant from the International Research and Studies Program of the U.S. Department of Education at Wisconsin Center for Education Research. Previously, her research was in part supported by the Turkish Council of Higher Education and the Spencer Foundation.
