Dr. A. Cendel Karaman

Cendel Karaman is Associate Professor at the School of Education at Middle East Technical University (METU), Turkey. He received his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction at University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2008. Dr. Karaman was also a Wisconsin Doctoral Research Program Fellow during his doctoral work. He was previously a Fulbright Scholar at Binghamton University, State University of New York. He taught at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Binghamton University-State University of New York, Hacettepe University, and Turkish American Association (TAA). He was elected Outstanding Teacher of the Year in 1997 by the TAA. He currently teaches graduate and undergraduate courses on language teacher education and coordinates the student teaching program at the Foreign Language Education Department at METU.
